Typography plays a major role in visual communication. A juxtaposition of a simple image and of a simple word can create meaning way beyond an individual image or word can accomplish. The intention of these undertakings was to explore various ways to utilize typographic elements.

The Fusion Typeface was initiated to understand the skeletal structure of a letterform. This letter
carefully created out of the context of the exising typeface based on its history, weight,
form/counterform, etc.

A various forms of Expressive Typography were also explored to understand that although proper
respect should be bestowed for each and every typeface, there are also some ways to digitally
manipulated each letterform to create a different message.

A form Normative Typography is the most common way to put into practice all the digital
typefaces we have today. In this project, it is combined with the Charles and Ray Eames furntiure
which are popular during the Modern Art movement in a form of a brouchure to accentuate the
furniture's characteristics. It is critical in this aspect to chose the typeface that would blend and
contribute to the personality of the furnitures.

Structured Typography was also investigated in an attempt to acquire deeper understanding
about the nature of typography. The relationship between text and image was further explored
in this project in order to realize the power of this constellation. This project was finalized in an
accordion format designed to foretell that there is more story to read than what is superficially
seen on the surface of each column pages. It was also meant to emphasized the tragedy
of the long lost civilization along with the experience of the traveller which at first seems
to be the focus of the project.
